Petit Verdot has traditionally been considered a blending variety but when it is unique and compelling it deserves to be bottled on its own. We have a solitary row of this variety and find that it makes an expressive and exceptional wine. It exudes elements of boysenberry, lingonberry compote, dark and milk chocolates, baking spices and toasted oak. The palate is full and rich with well structured tannins that make it stand up well on its own or paired with a variety of rich and savory dishes.
