From the Farmer: The 2018 vintage was a beautiful growing year. The weather was sunny and mild staying within moderate temperature ranges. With only a couple of days of 100 degree weather the vineyard was happy and able to develop lots of flavors in the fruit without being rushed. After the heat of 2017 we were all happy to enjoy such a nice growing season. There was enough water in the winter to make sure the vines had plenty for the growing season and fill the ponds and reservoirs. We were able to let the fruit just hang out and pick at our leisure. This was also one of the largest harvests we have had in many years in the valley. An abundance of Cabernet in particular. When your only worries are what will we do with the extra Cab, life is good. The answer: Drink it of course!
