This wine is produced from the oldest head trained vines on the estate. It has a brooding, inky black hue that exudes the ancient nature of the block. The aromas reveal notes of blackberry, graphite and cigar box and transition to flavors of black pepper, forest fruits and spice. The structure is classic Petite Sirah; big and robust, with chewy tannins, but it sets itself apart from the others with balance and elegance not frequently found. Drink or cellar for 5-10 years, it goes well with food or just great friends.
