This wine hails from a solitary block of head trained vines, over 60 years in age.  They are dry farmed, intense, and relentless in their production of amazing fruit every year.  The color is inky purple and the aromas are reminiscent of the blackest fruits, dark roasted espresso and graphite.  The mouth opens to broad, mouth filling flavors of dark fruits, baking spices, and black pepper.  The textures are intense with substantial tannins that willingly meld seamlessly into the wine to create a feeling of both balance and complexity.
